A batch of 5,210pilgrims left Jammu on Monday to perform the Amarnath Yatra.
They left the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in an escortedconvoy of vehicles, as 2,372 pilgrims are going to Baltal base camp while 2,838towards Pahalgam, an official said.
The 45-day long annual Amarnath Yatra which started on July1 has been going on smoothly. Till date, over 1,82,712 pilgrims have paid theirobeisance at Amarnath cave.
The pilgrimage will end on August 15, coinciding with theShravan Purnima festival.
